Donald Trump: “Latinos Marco Rubio And Ted Cruz Should Be Disqualified From Running For President”

imageGREENVILLE, South Carolina (The Adobo Chronicles) – Donald Trump, who, for the longest time had questioned Barack Obama’s qualification to be president of the United States over the latter’s citizenship status, has found the perfect opening to protest the candidacies of his leading rivals for the Republican presidential nomination, Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.

During tonight’s GOP presidential debate in South Carolina, the two Cuban American candidates traded fireworks at each other.  At one point, Rubio questioned Cruz’s ability to understand and speak Spanish, to which the senator for Texas replied in the Spanish language.

Shortly after the debate, Trump said he was going to seek the disqualification of both Rubio and Cruz because he said neither of them, being Cuban, was eligible to run for U.S. president. “They just demonstrated their U.S. citizenship disqualification from the race by showing their Spanish language skills,” Trump said.

“Only natural-born citizens can run for president,” Trump maintained, “so we cannot allow Spanish-speaking candidates to run for U.S. president.”

During His High School Years, Ted Cruz Was Eliminated In The First Round of Spelling Bee Contest

imageWASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – Republican Senator Ted Cruz could become the next president of the United States. But would America want a president who can’t even spell correctly?

The Adobo Chronicles uncovered a fact which showed that in his high school years, Cruz participated  in the local Texas edition of The Spelling Bee, where he was eliminated in the first round of the contest. He failed to correctly spell the word “philanthropy.”

Well, it looks like to this day, Cruz hasn’t kept up with his spelling skills, as shown by his latest campaign ad (see photo) where he incorrectly spelled a simple basic word, “country.”

It’s so patetic.

26 Filipino Words, Plus One, Added To Oxford English Dictionary

imageOXFORD, England (The Adobo Chronicles) –  Filipinos, be proud! The Oxford Dictionary of English has added 26 Filipino words that can now be used universally.

Words like mabuhay, barkada, comfort room, kuya, presidentiable and sinigang are now official entries in the famous and respected international dictionary.

But that is not all.

Today, The Adobo Chronicles learned that Oxford Press, which publishes the dictionary, has added a late-breaking item to the book’s latest edition.

That word is ‘PNoy.’

Many Filipinos, of course, know that PNoy refers to their incumbent president, but the entry has nothing to do with NoyNoy Aquino.  Or maybe it does.

Oxford defines PNoy as a noun which refers to an individual who is clueless, or inside a bubble.

Here’s a list of the other 26 Filipino words that have been added.
