Justin Trudeau’s Scented Candle Outsells That Of Donald Trump And The US President-Elect Is Not Happy

img_7383TORONTO, Canada (The Adobo Chronicles, Toronto Bureau) – It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas, and the shopping for gifts and Christmas tree stocking fillers  are in full swing.

Scented candles are among the more popular items during the holidays and two new products have been introduced to the market.  One bears the scent of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the other, the scene of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

The numbers are in, and Trudeau’s scented candles have  far outsold Trump’s.  As expected, Trump is not happy.

The Adobo Chronicles has just learned that Trump fired his scented-candle promo team for doing a lousy job.

We wonder though, if any advertising or marketing group will ever succeed in promoting the Trump scented candle.

Incidentally, Trudeau hasn’t even employed a promo team for his scented candle.  The sales just keep going and going.

Trump Calls Duterte And We Have The Transcript

img_7353NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – President-elect Donald Trump’s phone conversations with world leaders have created jitters among members of the diplomatic community.

Trump’s unorthodox and naive calls with, for instance, the leaders of Pakistan and Kazakhstan may have put the United States’ official position on and relationships with the two countries at risk.

Now, Trump has also called the controversial Philippines president, Rodrigo Roa Duterte and we have a full transcript of their conversation:

TRUMP: Good afternoon Mr. Doo-ter-tey.

DUTERTE:  It’s Du-ter-te.  And it’s 3 a.m. here in the Philippines.

TRUMP:  Well, I never apologize, so I’m not going to say, “I’m sorry.”

DUTERTE: You just did, you son of a whore.

TRUMP: Hey, hey, watch your language.  I’m the president of the most powerful country in the world.  Yours is just a third world country.

DUTERTE: Maybe, but I am friends with powerful countries that are your enemies, like China and Russia.

TRUMP: Well, why can’t we be friends as well.  After all, people are calling you the “Trump of the Philippines.”

DUTERTE: Let me correct you, p*tang i*a mo.  You’re being called the Duterte of America.

TRUMP: Wrong.  But anyway, about the Miss Universe Pageant that will be held in your coountry in January…

DUTERTE:  No, I am not going to invite you as our guest.

TRUMP: But I used to own the pageant, including during the two times it’s been held in Manila.

DUTERTE: Yeah right, and the ladies were complaining that you had barged into their dressing rooms while they were all naked.

TRUMP: But I didn’t do anything.

DUTERTE: You didn’t grab them by the p…

TRUMP:  Of course not.  I’m just all talk.  I don’t walk the talk.

DUTERTE: Well, that’s the difference between the two of us.  I talk a lot, but I also walk the talk.

TRUMP: Now I see why you don’t want to be called the “Trump of the Philippines.”

DUTERTE:  And you should never be called the “Duterte of America.”

TRUMP: Well, it was nice talking to you,  Mr. Doo-ter-tey.

DUTERTE: It’s Du-ter-te.  And do me a favor, will you?  Go take a walk, you son of a whore.

Imelda Marcos Wants Fidel Castro Buried In Libingan Ng Mga Bayani

Then Philippine First Lady Imelda Marcos and daughter Imee with Fidel Castro in 1978

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Philippines’ former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos wants President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to offer the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani (LNMB) as final resting place for Cuba’s Fidel Castro.

Castro died yesterday at the age of 90, after ruling Cuba for almost half a century.

For the first time ever, Mrs. Marcos revealed a conversation she had with Castro when she and daughter Imee visited Cuba in 1978.

“Fidel idolized Ferdinand. E. Marcos, and he told me that when the time comes, he would like to be buried alongside his fellow dictator,” Imelda told The Adobo Chronicles.

Ferdinand was buried a few weeks ago in the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani despite strong opposition from Filipino politicians and activists.  The “sneaky” burial of Marcos continues to be met with street protests.

Duterte  had approved Marcos’ burial.  The Supreme Court made it possible by deciding in favor of the Marcoses in a case brought before it.

Before Marcos’ remains were transferred to LNMB, they were encased in a refrigerated glass crypt in a mausoleum in his hometown of Batac, Ilocos Norte

“The family of Fidel might not want the former president buried outside of Cuba, but the Philippines should at least make the offfer as a matter of courtesy and international diplomacy,” Imelda added.

The year 2016 marks 70 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Cuba. (Now you know!)

Brace for more rounds of anti-burial protests if this happens.
