CORONAVIRUS TESTS POSITIVE FOR DONALD TRUMP!

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – He’s called it the ‘China virus,’ downplayed its impact on Americans, and refused to acknowledge or endorse health protocols surrounding this pandemic that has so far killed over 200,000 Americans.

Over the weekend, the coronavirus has tested positive for Donald Trump.

Is change coming to The White House?

Leni Robredo Calls “Most Admired” Survey Fake

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) –President Rodrigo Duterte and actress Angel Locsin have topped the list of “most admired” men and women in the Philippines in 2020.

This is the second year that both ranked first together in YouGov’s “World’s Most Admired” list among the women.

The survey didn’t sit well with Vice President Leni Robredo who ranked a distant No. 15.

OVP Spokesperson Barry Gutierrez told The Adobo Chronicles that the Vice President cannot accept that she ranked that low in the survey despite all her efforts to be in the limelight, issuing statements left and right about the Duterte government’s programs.

“The survey is fake,” Robredo said, “and is an attempt to discredit all the good things I have been doing and saying especially in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic that the country is facing.”

Gutierrez added that Robredo is worried that the Opposition which she heads might end up fielding Locsin as its Presidential candidate come 2022.

”I can’t allow a fading ABS-CBN star to outrun me, no matter if she’s Darna,” the VP said.

Locsin Is New Spokesperson, Roque Is Now Foreign Affairs Secretary

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It’s a classic case of musical chairs.  Teddy Boy Locsin is the new Presidential Spokesperson, and Harry Roque is taking his place as Foreign Affairs Secretary.

The reshuffle was announced by President Rodrigo Duterte in what many believe is his strategy of dealing with infighting within his Cabinet.

It all started when Locsin tweeted that “The Philippines has only one President,” in reaction to an Inquirer news story on Duterte’s U.N. General Assembly speech where he mentioned that the arbitral ruling on the Philippines’ claim over the West Philippine Sea is now part of international law. In that news story, Roque was quoted as saying that the Philippines should now pursue a multilateral approach to the territorial dispute.

Sources close to Duterte told The Adobo Chronicles that as a good tatay (father), the President opted to deal with the brotherly conflict between Locsin and Roque in a neutral manner without siding with either Cabinet member.

Good move, Tatay Digong!
