President Marcos To Attend King Charles’ Coronation — Via Zoom!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Just minutes after Malacañang Palace announced that Bongbong Marcos has accepted the invitation to attend the coronation of King Charles in London, critics, wokes and sour-grapers immediately flooded social media with complaints about yet another Presidential foreign trip at taxpayers’ expense.

PBBM has been criticized for making too many foreign trips within in less than one year in office.

In the spirit of unity and to appease his detractors, the President said that he and the First Lady Lisa Araneta Marcos will instead join the coronation ceremonies via zoom.

All’s well that ends well!

Raissa Robles Calls Vanessa Hudgens A “Minor Celebrity.”

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – She calls herself an “investigative journalist” and she is supposed to be the author of a failed book, “Never Again: Marcos Martial Law,” but Raissa Robles seems to be clueless about Hollywood.

In a tweet, presumably because she was not allowed to interview Filipino American Vanessa Hudgens, Robles called the Hollywood star a “minor celebrity.”

Never mind that Hudges dated one of the heartthrobs of Hollywood, Zac Efron who is far from being a minor celebrity himself.

Sour grapes would not even be an accurate description of Robles’ rant. How would you describe it, dear AC readers?

Fact Check: PH Senator Bato Dela Rosa Can Travel To 72 Countries Amid Arrest Threat

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Senator Bato dela Rosa said he is refraining from traveling to International Criminal Court (ICC) member-countries in case there is a warrant of arrest that will be issued against him.

Dela Rosa, along with former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is being investigated by ICC prosecutors for alleged crimes against humanity in connection with the previous administration’s war on drugs.

But before you all feel bad for the former police chief, here’s some good news:

Forty one countries have not signed the Rome Statute and are therefore not members of ICC while another 31 countries have signed but not ratified the agreement.

That’s a lot of travel options for dela Rosa. For starters he can travel to China, Ehtiopia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, North Korea, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Plus the United States!
