Leni Robredo’s New Year Message To The Laylayan

B9B81D38-5F08-493D-B66C-2E4A9F79BFB7QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Vice President Leni Robredo has a special message to the laylayan for the New Year, and it is filled with pumped up emotion.

The Adobo Chronicles obtained a yet unpublished copy of the statement which the OVP prepared just hours after the release of the latest SWS poll rating for Robredo.  The survey shows that Robredo’s support among what was supposed to be her most loyal followers — those in the ‘fringes’ of society, or laylayan — dropped.

Here is part of Robredo’s message:

Here’s a rough translations from Google Translate:

“Dear Laylayan countrymen and women:

I am deeply saddened to hear of the latest SWS survey.

How dare you. Of all Filipinos, I never would have thought that you’d stab me from behind, after all that I did to improve your lives. Why o why?

I’ve gone out of my to visit you all in the darkest corners of the country, alway obliging to have selfies with you. Were  those all fake smiles?

What else can I do to earn your trust and loyalty?

If this is what I get in return for being your ever-loving Vice President, we might as well let Bongbong take over and forget the recount.”

Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas Will Exchange Faceless P500 Bills With Six P100 Bills

EA71DF6C-16C6-4B16-ACBF-C0CA875FB15AMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – First, it was thought that the reported misprint of the peso currency was limited to P100 bills, but a further investigation has confirmed that P500 bills were also affected by this weird occurrence.

It all began when someone withdrew cash from an ATM only to find out that several of the P100 bills she got didn’t have the face of President Manuel Roxas.

But it didn’t stop there.  Another bank customer revealed that several P500 bills he withdrew from an ATM didn’t have the faces of Cory and Ninoy Aquino.

The bills were not necessarily counterfeit.  The Banko Sentral Ng Pilipinas (BSP) admitted to a printing error.

In order to compensate for the inconvenience of those who received the faceless bills, especially the P500 currency, the BSP announced today that it will replace and exchange those faceless P500 bills with P600 worth of one hundred pesos.  That’s six P100 bills, that look like this:

Donald Trump’s Brilliant Response to Kim Jong Un’s Nuclear Threat

SEOUL, South Korea (The Adobo  Chronicles, Tokyo Bureau) – The war of words over North Korea’s threat of a nuclear attack continues between Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump.

Kim’s latest salvo is his revelation that he has a nuclear button on his desk, ready to be pushed at a moment’s notice.

But you can’t threaten a shrewd billionaire businessman and television celebrity.  He is quick to fire back at any time.

While Kim has may indeed have a nuclear button on his desk, Trump says he has one on his cuff.

Now whether or not Trump’s button is nuclear, The White House won’t say. It’s classified information.
