Catholic Priest Says He Prayed For Duterte To Get Sick, Gets Sacked

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – A Filipino Roman Catholic Priest said during a recent homily that he prayed for President Rodrigo Duterte to get sick.

Well, that priest got sacked!

A lesson in Separation of Church and State…

Trillanes’ Jail Cell Being Readied By PNP

President Rodrigo Duterte recently revoked the amnesty granted to Trillanes by the President NoyNoy Aquino.  Trillanes was in jail because of two failed coup attempts. (As of press time, Trillanes has sought sanctuary inside the Senate Building).

PNP says that Trillanes will be housed in the same building where Senator Leila De Lima is now incarcerated.  A new partition is being built to convert De Lima’s jail cell into two separate units, the  other to be occupied by Trillanes.

The Adobo Chronilces learned that there will be no access between the two divided units. However, the partition is thin enough to allow De Lima and Trillanes to converse from either side of the wall.

Two’s a company and that’s good to keep either Senator’s sanity.

Trillanes Says Duterte Could Be The Next Filipino Saint

The amnesty granted to Trillanes by ex-Presient NoyNoy Aquino was in connection with the Senator’s failed coup attempts in the past.

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Trillanes hinted that Duterte is nearing sainthood (‘malapit na itong is Duterte’).

This is the first time that Trillanes made a public statement in favor of the President. 70B00D6C-8DC6-48AF-A848-2AB43A49C3FF

If Trillanes’ wish would come true, Duterte’s sainthood could preempt moves to make Cory Aquino the next Filipino saint.  That hasn’t gone anywhere far.
