Features: Filipino Americans For Trump, Who Are They?

imageATLANTA, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – You’ve heard it before:  Donald Trump will never win the general elections because he has attacked almost all minority and diverse communities — Mexicans, Chinese,  Muslims, immigrants, women, LGBTs, you name it.

But wait a minute, that’s not what we’re seeing in the real world.  Diverse communities are establishing massive grassroots campaigns to get Trump elected the next president of the United States.

For example: the National Diversity Coalition for Trump (NDCT) whose mission statement is as follows:

“(National Diversity Coalition For Trump ) strongly supports the candidacy of Donald Trump for President of the United States. Mr. Trump’s vision for the United States includes creating opportunities for men, women, and children of all racial, economic, and educational backgrounds. Our group represents the voices of our communities. We support Donald Trump and his solutions that address economic disparities, foster job creation, support small businesses, preserve faith & family principles and strengthen communities with conservative action. We will recruit, mobilize, and educate voters to help us elect Donald Trump in November 2016.”

As part of our public service, The Adobo Chronicles will be featuring the men and women behind the NDCT, starting with the group American Filipinos for Trump.

Today, our pictorial feature focuses on the group’s leader, Lovilla Santiago, from Atlanta, Georgia, in her “before” and “after” photos.

Amateur Photoshop Artist Shows Ellen DeGeneres The Way

The controversial ad

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Talk Show host Ellen DeGeneres’ clothing line, GapKids X ED, is all about encouraging children to embrace what makes them unique. But it’s that “empowerment” aspect of the brand’s campaigns that left many confused by the most recent photos posted to GapKids’ Twitter account on Saturday.

One photo showed two white children doing acrobatic moves while a third, older white child leans her arm on the black child seen in the ad. Many people on Twitter took issue with the tweet, which reads “meet the kids who are proving that girls can do anything.” Many thought the photo had some “racist” overtones.

Upon learning of the criticism, DeGeneres immediately fired the advertising agency for her clothing line and asked an amateur photoshop artist to revise the ad.  Here is what the artist came up with.  DeGeneres reportedly really, really liked it!
