Philippine Police Confiscate Used Condoms Sold At Ukay-Ukay in Divisoria!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Filipinos are all too familiar with shops selling used clothing and other items. They’re known as Ukay-Ukay or Wagwagan.

But who’d expect to find used condoms at these retail outlets? Well, the police did.

Manila police raided an Ukay-Ukay in Divisoria after receiving a tip that the store was selling used, triple-washed, albeit sanitized, condoms. The items were apparently smuggled into the country from San Francisco, California.

Some 69 boxes were seized and the owner of the shop brought to the police station for questioning.

This is a developing story.
