Senator Trillanes Receives Highest Human Rights Award From Nacionalista International

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Not only is it international beauty pageant season, but it’s also that time for the handing out of international awards in government and politics.

Only yesterday, incarcerated Senator Leila de Lima was awarded the highest human rights award from Liberal International.

Today, Nacionalista International named Senator Antonio Trillanes as the recipient of its own, highest human rights award for his unwavering efforts to convince the International Criminal Court to charge  President Rodrigo Duterte for  ‘crimes against humanity.’

Trillanes was  in the United States recently where he met with Florida Senator Marco Rubio and participated in small talk criticizing the Duterte administration.

Senator Leila De Lima Bags ‘Employee Of The Month Award’

Well, Liberal International, a federation of liberal political parties, is no exception. Yesterday, it handed out is prestigious ‘Employee of the Month’ award to incarcerated Philippine Senator Leila de Lima.

De Lima is a member of the Philippines’ Liberal Party which is a member of this international liberal company.

We commend Liberal International for recognizing the work of its employees and we congratulate the Honorable lady Senator.

 

Just Announced: Judges For Miss Earth 2017

The event will be the 17th edition of Miss Earth pageant, scheduled on 4 November 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Katherine Espín of Ecuador will crown her successor.

Members include ex-President NoyNoy Aquino, Pinoy Ako Blog’s  Jover Laurio, Rappler’s Maria Ressa, Tweeter Raissa Robles, Blogger Cynthia Patag, Talk Show host Winnie Monsod, TV Patrol Reporter Doris Bigornia and Senator Franklin Drilon.

Karen Ibasco will represent the Philippines.
