DONALD TRUMP’S (SECOND) DEVASTATING LOSS TO JOE BIDEN (AND KAMALA HARRIS)

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Losing to Joe Biden in last November’s presidential elections was devastating to Donald Trump. Losing a second time to Joe Biden AND Kamala Harris was crushing!

Sources close to The White House’s West Wing told The Adobo Chronicles that the President has locked himself all day today in the Oval Office, refusing to talk to anyone, and shouted at a White House aide who knocked on his door to serve him some diet Coke and French fries. “Go away,” he reportedly told the aide.

Trump’s erratic behavior began soon after TIME magazine announced its pick for this year’s “Person of the Year.” Shortly before the announcement, TIME released its shortlist for this year’s award: Trump, Biden, “frontline health care workers and Dr. Anthony Fauci” and the “movement for racial justice.” Our sources said the President was 100% confident he would win the title.

Analysts say that the biggest blow to Trump was not just losing to Biden a second time, but that he also lost to Harris, a Vice Presidential candidate, a woman and a person of color.

Trump now owes Americans not one, but two concessions.

Stay tuned! This really makes for a good Reality TV show!

ADOBO CHRONICLES ‘OTHER WOMAN OF THE YEAR’ : leni robredo

SAN JOSE, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Jose Bureau) – It’s that time of year when The Adobo Chronicles picks its “Woman of the Year” to recognize that one person who has had the most impact on local and international news headlines and developments.

Our choice was easy. Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo has had an unprecedented presence in the news headlines this year, thanks to her well-oiled press and social media machinery, spouting criticism on almost anything and everything about the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte. She did it in such bilingual audacity, making her sameness with both the masses and the social elite a true cosmetic wonder.

But because she is not the first Filipino woman to be given a similar honor, we chose to name her something that would be exclusive to her: “The Other Woman of the Year.”

In 1986, former President Corazon Aquino became the first Filipino to become TIME’s Person of the Year. In 2018, Maria Ressa was included in Time’s Person of the Year 2018, as one of “The Guardians”, a number of journalists from around the world combating the “War on Truth”.

We congratulate La Leni, our 2020 Other Woman of the Year!

Leni robredo fails to make it to time woman of the year nominees

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – What do Greta Thunberg, Beyoncé, Jacinda Ardern, Kamala Harris, Meghan Markle and Arian Grande have in common? They are all among the women nominees this year’s Time magazine “Person of the Year.”

Online polling is ongoing with the name of the winner to be announced on December 10.

Apparently missing from the list is Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo, the erstwhile leader of the country’s political opposition who has been in the headlines in recent months, issuing statements and going on Facebook Live with her tirades against President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration.

Many Filipino netizens were seriously disappointed that Robredo didn’t make the cut. They were unanimous in saying that the Vice President should have been included as the other woman of the year.

Maybe next year.
