Kim Kardashian Has The Last Laugh In Paris Robbery

img_6084PARIS, France (The Adobo Chronicles, Berlin Bureau) – Armed robbers forced their way into a private Paris residence where Kim Kardashian West was staying, tied her up and locked her in a bathroom before making off with more than $10 million worth of jewelry, police officials said.

A spokeswoman for Kardashian West said the reality TV star, who was in Paris attending fashion week shows, was badly shaken but physically unharmed. Police said she left Paris Monday morning.

Today, Kardashian revealed that all the jewelry taken from her, including a ring given to her by husband Kanye West, were all fake, just costume jewelry.

Kardashian definitely had the last laugh, but we can’t say the same thing for Kanye.

Duterte To New Philippine Ambassador To The UN: “Don’t You Dare Upstage Me!”

Locsin, left, and Duterte

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Tough-talking, foul-mouthed  President Rodrigo Roa Duterte may be having second thoughts in appointing media personality Teddyboy Locsin as his country’s new ambassador to the United Nations.

The reason?  Locsin is even more foul-mouthed than Duterte, and that doesn’t sit well with the president.

“Dont you dare upstage me,” Duterte reportedly told Locsin.

Duterte’s admonition came after the news media published Locsin’s Twitter exchange with some of his critics in which he unleashed a number of expletives, worse and more direct than what have been attributed to the president.

Following are some of the exchanges Locsin had on his Twitter account. Parental discretion is advised:

If interested in the UN Ambassador position, you might want to start sending your resumés to Malacañang, just in case.

LONDON, United Kingdom (The Adobo Chronicles, Berlin Bureau) – Sir Thomas Jones, more popularly known as singer Tom Jones, has released a new version of his 1968 hit, “Delilah” as a way to honor a Philipppine lady senator (Leila De Lima) whose term as a neophyte legislator has been marked by several walkouts during senate sessions and committee hearings.

Jones told The Adobo Chronicles that he hopes this new version will be well received in the Philippines.  “Delilah” is one of the favorite “old hits”sung in karaoke bars in the Philippines.

The new lyrics:

My, my, my, De Lima
Why, why, why, De Lima
Like before you had to walk out the door
Forgive me De Lima I just couldn’t take any more
