MANILA, Philippines (The Addobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Remember when the Philippine national daily, Inquirer, published a photo showing a “horse-driven” cart — the horse looking a lot like a carabao?
Well, the carabao seems to be mutating in many ways.
Today, the Bureau of Fisheries announced the discovery of a rare fish species never before seen anywhere in the world.
The fish looks like a normal fish except for its head which resembles the head of a carabao. Forget about “beast of burden.” Is this the “fish of burden?”
Could what’s happening in the Philippines the effect of global warming?
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – For the longest time, ex-President NoyNoy Aquino has remained silent regarding accusations of extra-judicial killings (EJKs) attributed to Duterte’s war on drugs.
Today, just days after the Supreme Court ruled to keep Senator Leila De Lima in jail and just hours after the House of Representatives voted to impeach Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chair Andy Bautista, Aquino has come out for the first time to defend his successor.
To anyone who cries, “EJKs,” the former president has this to say:
”Buhay ka pa naman, di ba?’ (You’re still alive, aren’t you?)
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Commission on Elections Chair Andy Bautista, who has been accused by no less than his wife Patricia of having unexplained wealth, has resisted the clamor for him to quit his constitutional post, saying God has told him, “not yet.”
Today, Bautista says he was resigning effective end of the year.
