Leni Robredo Very Disappointed She Wasn’t Invited to Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Wedding

3BB19789-99E4-4B42-A9D0-BE622A736021QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – We all know that Leni Robredo is a jetsetter, making international trips for the flimsiest of reasons to the United States, Europe and Asia.

So one can only imagine how very disappointed she was for not being invited to attend today’s wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

”Attending a Royal Wedding is a dream of the Vice President,” spokesperson Georgina Hernandez told The Adobo Chronicles.

Hernandez said Robredo was almost sure she would be invited  to the wedding after her recent visit to London to speak at the London School of Economics.  She reportedly sent feelers to the Buckingham Palace that she wanted to be at Prince Harry’s wedding.

Apparently, Queen Elizabeth, who has a hand in preparing the guest list, didn’t know who Robredo was.

It’s a wake up call for Robredo to consider making major changes with her PR team.

Duterte Orders Closure And Rehabilitation Of Senator Risa Hontiveros’ Mouth

7C8BD3D3-1863-4174-B994-75126BE86438MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Leave it to President Rodrigo Duterte to exercise political will in closing and rehabilitating the country’s natural resources.  Like Boracay.

But there’s no stopping the President from looking to close and rehabilitate other natural resources, including people.

So today, Duterte ordered the closure of Senator Risa Hontiveros’ mouth to prevent her from issuing public statements until she is fully rehabilitated — which could take years.

In a recent statement on the Supreme Court’s decision to grant the quo warranto petition against Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, Hontiveros said it is “a direct stab to the heart of our Constitution.”

“The Supreme Court has opened the floodgates for the removal in the future of other impeachable public officials through arbitrary means and for whimsical reasons,” she said.

Blah. Blah. Blah.

While Fourteen Senators Ask SC To Review Its 8-6 Ruling, 99% Of Filipinos Express Support For Sereno’s Ouster

3A739F04-ACC1-4659-894C-0BE71DDE0A97MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) –  A majority of the senators have banded together to ask the Supreme Court to review its decision to unseat Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno through a quo warranto petition and defend the Senate’s jurisdiction over impeachable officials.

Fourteen of the 23 senators have signed a resolution requesting the Supreme Court to review its May 11 ruling, and Sen. Risa Hontiveros has urged more of her colleagues to join them.

That’s MAJORITY of the Senators.

But the overwhelming majority of Filipinos support Sereno’s ouster.  No, not just an overwhelming majority, but a landslide majority.

B9D9DFD1-0DA2-4C99-87FE-FF3CD7BE280DIn a Facebook poll conducted by The Adobo Chronicles, 99% of respondents replied with ‘Hell, YES,’ when asked if the Supreme Court should strip Sereno of the position of Chief Magistrate.  Only 1% said, “For Heaven’s sake, NO!”

The people have spoken.  Will the Senators now shut up?
