’Tis The Season To Be Single

‘Tis the season to be single, and it seems our Pinoy celebrities are taking the breakup sleigh ride with more enthusiasm than Santa on Christmas Eve. Forget about decking the halls; these stars are busy decking the relationship halls with “it’s over” banners.

Andrea Brillantes and Ricci Rivero decided that their love story was a bit too telenovela, opting for a plot twist even the scriptwriters couldn’t see coming. Meanwhile, Miles Ocampo and Elijah Canlas may have exchanged more goodbyes than Christmas gifts. It’s a star-studded separation party as Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla bid adieu, Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati uncouple, and Kim Chiu and Xian Lim give a new meaning to “Jingle Bell Rock.”

It seems the allure of breaking free during the holidays is irresistible—perhaps mistletoe is replaced with the spirit of independence.

Well what about Win Gatchalian’s relationship status? Let’s not venture into that coal-filled stocking. After all, ’tis the season for self-discovery, and these celebrities are unwrapping the gift of solitude with gusto.

Cash Is Life!

In a groundbreaking move to combat poverty, the government has allocated a staggering P60 billion for poor families in 2024, a brilliant brainchild that will surely result in eradicating poverty. Who needs long-term, systemic solutions? Band-aid fixes are the real heroes here.

Cash gifts and food stamps are undoubtedly the magic wands that will finally put an end to the pesky habit of parasitic dependence on government aid.

Forget education, job opportunities, and healthcare—why bother with those when you can simply shower people with cash and hope they figure out how to escape the clutches of poverty themselves.

The visionary behind this budgetary bonanza, has clearly cracked the code: poverty is just a lack of money. Who would have thought? Brace yourselves, folks, for the grand spectacle of throwing money at a problem and expecting it to disappear miraculously.

Poverty, be warned, your days are numbered—or until the next budget allocation.

Mistaken Assumption: PAWS Sues Makati Mexican Restaurant!

MAKATI CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Makati Bureau) – In a bizarre case of mistaken assumption, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) has decided to unleash the legal hounds on Chihuahua Mexican Grill in Greenbelt, Makati. Why? PAWS assumed the restaurant was violating the Animal Welfare Act, serving up man’s best friend in their burritos.

The misunderstanding arose from the misleadingly adorable name of the establishment, Chihuahua Mexican Grill. PAWS, apparently thinking the grill was going full-on culinary Cruella de Vil, filed a lawsuit faster than you can say “taco ’bout a mix-up.”

However, it turns out the only thing being grilled at Chihuahua is good old beef, pork, and chicken. PAWS might need a crash course in menu interpretation, proving once and for all that jumping to conclusions can land you in the legal doghouse.

Moral of the story: before unleashing the legal beasts, make sure you’re barking up the right taco truck.
