Comelec Mulls Use Of AI In the 2025 Mid-term Philippine Elections!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – If Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used by students to submit their theses or by fast food chains to take customer orders, why can’t it be used in lieu of voting in the polls?

Well, ask no more.

The Philippines’ Commission on Elections (Comelec) today announced that beginning with the 2025 mid-term elections, AI will replace ballots when voting for national and local candidates.

Comelec told The Adobo Chronicles that it is finalizing plans to use AI to facilitate the election and proclamation of candidates.

Instead of going to the poll booths, Comelec said that voters can just register their social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and AI will determine their choice of candidates based on their social media history.

Comelec said this novel idea will save the government a lot of money normally spent to conduct elections, and will ensure a higher percentage of registered voters actually voting.

Leni Robredo Now Owns Philippine Franchise Of “Looney Tunes!”

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Looney Tunes, a worldwide media franchise that spawns several television series, feature films, comic books, music albums, video games, and amusement park rides, is coming to the Philippines!

Today, Atty. Leni Robredo announced that she is venturing into the entertainment world. She has just bought and started the Philippine franchise of the international media outfit.

It will be named after her: Leney Tunes!

It is no secret that Robredo is passionate about being a top-rate entertainer, something that she has proven to Filipinos during and after the 2022 presidential campaign and elections.

What would be different for Leney Tunes from the original international franchise is that instead of using cartoons, Robredo herself will model various characters — from Hadouken, to martial arts to historical icons.

Robredo had reportedly contracted with composer Ryan Cayabyab to compose the music for Leney Tunes’ video episodes.

AI Threatens Millions Of Summer Jobs!

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – We’re approaching the summer season when millions of young Americans take temporary jobs during the school break.

Their best bet are always the fast food chains like McDonald’s, BurgerKing, KFC, INnOUT Burgers, and yes, even the Philippines’ Jollibee.

But these summer jobs are being threatened by AI (Artificial Intelligence) which may very well do all the tasks assigned to homo sapiens.

For starters, Wendy’s has announced that it will begin testing an AI-powered chatbot that will talk to customers and take drive-thru orders.

For sure, the other fast food chains won’t be left behind and may also start their own AI customer service.

Already, restaurants use robots in place of human waiters, eliminating the need to recruit additional staff, or enable them to downsize their personnel.
