Kakie Pangilinan Wants YouTube To Take Down Her Video!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – When you post an offensive comment, photo or video on your social media account, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram can take it down after it’s mass reported by netizens who don’t like you or what you posted.

But for Kakie Pangilinan, daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Senator Kiko Pangilinan, she is asking YouTube to take down her own video!

The video in question is her live recording of the song “TYL” on the Wish 107.5 Bus. Of the almost half a million views it got so far, an overwhelming number — 77,000 vs. 5,000 gave her performance a thumbs down. (UPDATE: the thumbs down has exceeded 100, 000)

In talking to The Adobo Chronicles, Kakie said this could potentially ruin her bright singing career so she wants nothing of this sort on her profile. She’d rather banish this video into oblivion.

No comment from either YouTube or Wish 107.5 so far.

Health Secretary Duque Announces New CovId Test For Pinoys!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Philippines’ capacity to screen for Covid-19 has always been hampered by the cost of testing kits and laboratory analysjs, not to mention Filipinos’ hesitancy to undergo the nose swab involved in the go,d-standard RT-PCR tests.

That was then. Now, the experts at the Department of Health headed by the ever-brilliant Secretary Francisco Duque have come up with a much cheaper, readily available home testing kit, one that Filipinos can administer to themselves.

It is common knowledge that among the symptoms of Covid infection is the loss of the sense of taste and smell.

DOH has unveiled the new test kit composed of two items that most Filipinos already have in their homes — Vicks Vaporub and siling labuyo (red chillies).

The quick process involves putting a small amount of Vicks Vaporub under the nostrils and taking a tiny bite of the sili. If you can smell the Vicks and taste the sili spice, declare yourself Covid negative. Otherwise, immediately present yourself to your Barangay health authorities for the next steps.

Did OVP Run Out Of Take-Out Boxes For Its Food Relief?

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – The Office of Vice President Leni Robredo has all but perfected the art of photo ops to promote its programs and initiatives, but it may have shot itself in the foot when it posted photos of its recent food distribution in San Mateo, Rizal.

Robredo proudly posted photos of OVP’s relief program, distributing spaghetti to needing families.

But alas, netizens noticed that the spaghetti wasn’t even contained in take-out boxes, you know, like those you get when you order from Jollibee.

Many were also concerned that OVP’s distribution of cooked food may have violated sanitation and safety regulations by the Department of Health. “What if in the course of the day of distribution, some of the spaghetti may have already been spoiled,” one netizen asked.

Since it was merely for photo ops, it could have made more sense for OVP to distribute a bag of (uncooked) rice and a few canned food to the recipient families.

A total fail.
