QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Quezon City Bureau) – She wanted to be sensitive to the 6.9 earthquake that hit Mindanao last week, so Leni Robredo called a press conference to announce she was postponing the release of her much-anticipated report on the government’s drug war. It apparently is a 40-page spiral-bound report detailing whatever she did in the two weeks or so that she was co-chair of the Inter-agency Committee on Anti-illegal Drugs (ICAD).
Just as she was preparing to call another press conference for the release of her report, the verdict in the infamous Maguindanao massacre was handed down today. So Robredo decided to postpone the release of the report yet again.
