With Lack Of Response, Kris Aquino Increases Threshold For Her Private Facebook Page

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – As reported by ABS-CBN, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has invited single men — ages 41-55 — to follow her private Facebook account.

But after almost a week since she posted the invitation on her social media account, there have been no takers.

So today, Aquino updated her post and increased the age threshold  to 65. She also noted that by “single,” she meant those who have never been married or those who have been widowed.

She is hoping to get better response this time around.

PET Releases Decision On 2016 Vice Presidential Election Protest!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The wait is finally over! The Supreme Court of the Philippines, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) has just released its findings and ruling on the electoral protest filed by former Senator Bongbong Marcos against Vice President Robredo.

PET told The Adobo Chronicles that after a manual recount of the votes in selected pilot precints, it was determined that Marcos and Robredo each got the exact same number of votes.

”We can only assume that this is the same trend nationwide even if we continue with a recount of other  precints,” a PET spokesperson said. “So, in order not to waste any more taxpayer funds and the precious time of the justices and all involved in the recount, PET has decided to call it a tie.”

In conclusion, the PET ruled that since Robredo already served three years as the sitting VP, Marcos should assume the position for the remainder of the six-year term, effectively immediately.

All’s well that ends well!

Leni Robredo Gears Up For 2022 Presidential Run, Daughter Tricia Gears Up To Be Health Secretary

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Leni Robredo has not closed the door to a possible run for the Philippine Presidency come 2022, but that’s not what’s buzzing on the Internet right now.

One of Robredo’s three daughters — Tricia — has political ambitions of her own. She wants to be the next Secretary of the Department of Health (DOH)  and this early  she has moved to position herself for this top Cabinet role, when her mom becomes president.

In just just the last few days, Tricia has dipped her finger into two of the most controversial health issues facing the Philippines today —the rise in dengue cases and the re-emergence of measles and polio, and the issue of vaccination against these diseases.

It all came in a tweets Tricia posted online, and her “Tiger mom” Leni couldn’t be more pleased.

Like Mother, like Daughter. Genius, or clueless? We’ll let you decide!
