MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Filipinos take their beauty pageants very seriously.  And so does Philippine Senator Risa Hontiveros.

Today, Hontiveros filed a bill that would declare as special non-working holidays several important dates in the last quarter of 2018 and early 2019.  These include scheduled dates for Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Supranatural, Miss Grand International, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Globe.
