With highly-charged tweets and tweet replies among pro- and anti-Duterte netizens, many have asked if there is a limit on how many people account holders can block from viewing or commenting on their Twitter accounts.

The Adobo Chronicles has learned from reliable sources at the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco that there is indeed a limit on the number of blocks.

The answer: 140 creepy characters.

Miss Philippines has just been crowned 2017 Miss Earth while the new Miss International and Miss Universe will be chosen later this month.

But there are other prestigious national pageants as well, and three of the top national queens have been crowned at the Mall of Asia Arena last night.

In no particular order, they are:

Jover Laurio, Miss Earthworm; Raissa Robles, Miss Antinational and Maria Ressa, Miss Doubleverse.

Congratulations ladies!

Miss Earth 2017: And The Winner Is… Miss Colombia

29F1071E-ED52-49E3-ADD4-5681B3C22AD1.jpegPASAY CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) –  When it comes to beauty pageants, the Philippines and Colombia can’t seem to get rid of the “Steve Harvey Moment.”  Yes, that final moment at the Miss Universe pageant two years ago when the host announced the wrong winner and first runner-up.

At the recently concluded Miss Earth 2017 held in Manila, there were some very tense moments yet again when both Miss Philippines Karen Ibasco and Miss Colombia Juliana Franco were among the last four candidates standing — the top four finalists.

While the entire Earth knows that it was Miss Philippines who won the crown, the truth of the matter is it was Miss Colombia who clinched the title of Miss Earth…

… Miss Earth Water, that is.

Franco joins Australia’s Nina Robertson as Miss Earth Air, Russia’s Lada Akimova as Miss Earth fire to complete the three co-equal runner-up title holders in this environmentally-friendly beauty pageant.
