WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – While  President Donald Trump announced that the White House Press Briefing Room will remain at its current location — The James S. Brady Room in the West Wing —  he said he gets to pick which reporters and news outlets will occupy each of the 49 seats.

In past administrations, it is the White House Correspondents Association that assigns all of those spots and determines the seating arrangement.

Today, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer released the first 16 spots personally chosen by Trump. He hinted that CNN and SNL will definitely not be given seats.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Donald Trump has called CNN “fake news.” He accused the news media of lying about the number of people who attended his inauguration.  He even has a few things to say about The Adobo Chronicles.

Trump used the platform he knows best — Twitter — to fire away his latest rants.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Many Americans are wondering why President Donald Trump raised a clenched fist — instead of waving to the crowd — shortly after his inaugural speech. Now it can be told.

Shortly before he appeared at his inaugural ceremony, Trump was told by senior aide Kellyanne Conway that his speech will be watched by millions of Filipinos in Manila via a jumbotron set up at Luneta Park (Rizal National Park).

Raising a clenched fist which has become a trademark gesture of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and his supporters, was a signal to the Filipino people that the Trump presidency will be supportive of Duterte and his very popular, albeit controversial administration.img_8564

In recent months, Duterte had hinted severing ties with the U.S. because big brother has been very critical of his war on drugs and accused him of human rights violations.

Trump wants to keep and strengthen U.S.-Philippines relations, Conway said.

Now you know.
