Move Over Pokémon Go, Here Comes Poke Go

image.jpegHONOLULU, Hawaii (The Adobo Chronicles, Hawaii Bureau) – The mobile device game sensation “Pokéman Go” may be on the way out. It’s being pushed out by “Poke Go” which has its roots in Hawaii.

Poke, of course is a Hawaiian raw tuna salad usually made from ahi, ground kukui nut, salt, and a little sesame oil.

You can get poke almost everywhere in Hawaii, including 7-Eleven and ABC stores, but finding authentic poke is always a big challenge.

But now, a new mobile phone “Poke Go” app will help consumers find the authentic version of the dish. It’s as simple as signing in to the app and walking the streets of Oahu and the other Hawaiian islands.  Once the app detects authentic poke, your mobile phone plays ukelele music and gives you directions to reach the poke place.

The app can be downloaded from the Apple Store or aboard any Hawaiian Airlines flight to the islands.

Donald Trump On Tim Kaine: “It’s A Step Backward”

imageORLANDO, Florida (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – It didn’t take very long for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to launch his attack on Tim Kaine, who has just been named Hillary Clinton’s vice presidential running mate.

“Contrary to Mrs. Clinton’s meme of ‘moving forward,’ her VP choice represents a step backward,” Trump said.  And he has just the right photograph to prove his point.

During Kaine’s first campaign appearance with Clinton in Orlando on Saturday, he was photographed wearing the Clinton logo backwards on his lapel.

The arrow in the Clinton logo was facing backward (or leftward) instead of forward (see photo).

Clinton now regrets not having checked her running mate’s wardrobe before he took to the podium at the Florid International University (FIU).
