CaptureWASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles ) – It is common knowledge that the former Bruce Jenner was a Republican.  It is therefore not a surprise that among the first to welcome Caitlyn into their fold was the Log Cabin Republicans.

Log Cabin Republicans is the nation’s original and largest organization representing gay conservatives and allies who support fairness, freedom, and equality for all Americans, and who believe in electing Republicans into office.  Just this year, the California chapter officially gave charter status to the group, giving it a vote in state Republican party matters and policies.

Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has reportedly reached out to Caitlyn in the hope that she will switch party affiliation.

The committee is confident that it can win over Caitlyn, citing the fact that there are more Democrats who support her and who support key LGBT issues like same-sex marriage.

“While Bruce was Republican, Caitlyn is an entirely new person and that new person is more aligned with the Democratic ideology, especially as it relates to LGBT equality,” a DNC spokesperson said.

The DNC cited the fact that all declared Republican presidential candidates believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman, and that most are lukewarm to giving equal federal rights to LGBTs.

The ball is now in Caitlyn’s court.

MANILA’S INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT UNVEILS NEW ART NOUVEAU DECOR

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – Last week, The Adobo Chronicles reported that the U.S. State Department has issued a travel advisory for Americans flying into and out of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila. The advisory urged travelers to bring raincoats, umbrellas and boots to avoid being soaked in rainwater leaking from the ceiling of NAIA’s Terminal 1.

Manila’s Airport Authority was ordered by Philippine President NoyNoy Aquino to immediately fix the problen to avoid further embarrassment for the country.  NAIA has continued to top the list of the world’s worst airports.

Because the airport renovation’s budget 1.3 Billion has all but been expended, the Airport  Authority came up with a brilliant idea to fix the problem without costing a lot of money.

Today, NAIA unveiled its new, art nouveau decor consisting of blue and orange tarpaulins that hung just below the leaking ceiling. The artwork doubles up as a catch basin in the event of another rainstorm similar to that which triggered the water leak.

Incoming and outgoing passengers were very impressed at the new artwork saying that they have never seen anything like it in any of the world’s international airports.

DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY UNVEILS NEW U.S. CITIZENSHIP TEST QUESTION

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) of the Department of Homeland Security has just released the revised test questionnaire for immigrants applying for U.S. citizenship.

It  is a far cry from the 100 potential questions that an immigration officer might ask a citizenship applicant.  There would only be one question, which is: ‘Name all the candidates for U.S. president in the 2016 elections.’ The citizenship applicant must correctly name all the candidates in this photo (as more candidates declare, their photos will be added to the citizenship test): image The single question replaces the 10 questions (from the list of 100) that the immigration officer could ask applicants during the naturalization interview.

Previously, in order to pass the civics text, the applicant must correctly answer 6 of the 10 questions. Now, its all all nothing.  Failure to identify ALL presidential candidates would mean a denial of the citizenship application.

Talk about streamlining the citizenship process.
