SONY PICTURES TO UNRELEASE ‘THE INTERVIEW’ DECEMBER 25

imageHollywood, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – It is the most talked about cyber attack. Even the President of the United States weighed in on it.

We’re talking of course about the hacking of Sony Pictures. It has now been confirmed that North Korea was responsible for leaking damning documents from the film company’s top executives, apparently in retaliation for the production of the film, ‘The Interview.’

The flick is a comedy about the assassination of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. It was written, directed and produced by Seth Rogen who also is the lead actor, along with James Franco.

Everyone had something to say about the hacking, including movie fans and critics, media pundits, politicians, activists, the cyber community and Hollywood bigwigs like George Clooney.

As a result of this uber controversy, Sony Pictures has just announced that it will unrelease the film on Christmas Day, December 25 from theaters nationwide.

Manila, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – President NoyNoy Aquino on Friday enjoined the Filipino youth to be involved in government instead of spending too much time on fads in the Internet age — like selfies and the Clash of Clans.

Speaking before youth members of the Jesus is Lord Church Movement, Aquino said indifference among young Filipinos would put his administration’s reforms to waste.

During the open forum that followed his speech, a young audience member asked Aquino: “Are you saying we should get involved in corruption, government inefficiency, and indiscriminate waste of taxpayer money?”

“Our government is best known for the pork barrel scam, overpriced government building constructions, corrupt cops, disaster fund donations that are unaccounted for, and now, the national prison being run by drug lords,” the young man said, “so what involvement are you expecting from us?”

Aquino didn’t know how to answer the question and was dumbfounded, so the conference organizers abruptly  adjourned the forum, saying the president had to leave for another speaking engagement, but not after Aquino agreed to pose for a selfie with a member of the audience who flew all the way from Canada to be at the event.

MALE WHITE HOUSE PRESS CORPS MEMBERS ACCUSE OBAMA OF SEXISM

130219_POL_WhiteHouseBeat.jpg.CROP.rectangle3-largeWashington, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles) – Male members of The White House Press Corps have accused President Obama of sexism.

At today’s annual end-of-year press conference, President Barack Obama fielded reporters’ questions on the Sony cyber attacks, Cuba and other national and international issues.

After the 8th question, male members of the press corps noticed something they have never experienced before. Obama took questions only from female reporters.

This led the male reporters to accuse the President of sexism. “We are appalled that none of our male press corps members who raised their hands were called upon to ask their questions of Obama,” said Ed Henry of FOX News. “That is plain and simple disregard of the equality of the sexes,” he added.

As they said, you can’t have your cake and eat it too.  But it looks like today, the women did.  And the resulting news reports were fabulous!
