FAMOUS VEGAN DJ SUES LONGGANISA MAKER FOR PRODUCT MISLABELING

imageLos Angeles, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – A famous DJ in California is suing the maker of a popular Filipino pork sausage, known as longganisa, for package mislabeling that led her to eat meat.  DJ Miki Taka is a practising vegan (does not eat meat and dairy).

The product in question is a frozen package of Vigan longganisa sold at 99 Ranch Supermarket.

Earlier, Ms. Taka posted the following comment on her Instagram account:

Vigan is, in fact, a city in Ilocos Sur province in Northern Philippines. Vigan longganisa is a popular delicacy in this historic city that has been designated a United Nations (UNESCO) World Heritage Centre.

Ms. Taka mistakenly assumed that the package label contained a typographical error and that she was buying a vegan sausage.

She is suing 99 Ranch Market for a undisclosed amount, citing emotional and physical distress and violation of her sacred lifestyle.

  1. DJ MikiTaka, i think your decision to sue the manufacturer is without merit. The label clearly states “PORK” Longaniza.

You are not only stupid but a fraud as you said you enjoyed it. “I just ate pork and it so yummy” your words.

I do not eat any meat, poultry, pork, etc. I always read the label and when in doubt I stay away from it.

I sincerely hope you lose your lawsuit and tons of money for your legal cost

  2. I’ve been vegan for 26 years and consider it one of the best decisions of my life (my doctor agrees). I lost 25 lbs within the first few months. Today my blood work and test results are of a man half my age!

Here’s a short video to help everyone understand why so many people are making this life affirming choice and why the number of vegans has doubled in the US in less than 3 years.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKr4HZ7ukSE
