WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles®) – Political analysts and pundits are now calling them the “Border Republicans.” Donald Trump, Scott Walker and Rick Santorum — Republican presidential candidates all — are hugging the limelight where it shines most: illegal immigration.
Everyone is getting tired of Trump’s “great wall” along the U.S. southern border with Mexico.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker just found a new hot button issue to help beef up his campaign: build a U.S. northern border.
In an interview for NBC’s “Meet the Press”, Walker said his tough talk to securing the borders and enforcing U.S. laws extends to the 5,525-mile Canadian border as well.
It’s a shift from most campaign-trail rhetoric, which has focused on the border with Mexico, where millions undocumented immigrants have entered the country.
Not wanting to be left behind, former Senator Rick Santorum came up with his own border policy idea. He wants a sea wall built around all islands in the state of Hawaii to deter undocumented immigrants from Asia and the Pacific from entering the U.S. He is also proposing a similar sea wall between Alaska and Russia. (Many will recall that while campaigning for vice president, former Governor Sarah Palin said that she can see Russia from her backyard.)
The Republicans may finally see a tighter competition among its presidential candidates.
Will Trump’s commanding lead in the polls finally drop?
Will other candidates join the bandwagon and align themselves with the border Republicans?
WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – The media were so focused on Caitlyn Jenner’s transformation from male to female that they missed what could have been a blockbuster news story: Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum has transitioned to a woman!
