KIM DAVIS, MIKE HUCKABEE TURN TO KICKSTARTER TO RAISE $1.2 MILLION

Capture SALISBURY, North Carolina (The Adobo Chronicles®) — The band Survivor has filed a $1.2 million lawsuit against Kim Davis and Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee over the unauthorized use of its hit song “Eye of the Tiger.”

Davis, the Rowan County clerk who was jailed after refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, was released Tuesday morning, after serving six days in prison, to the sound of Survivor’s classic song “Eye of the Tiger.” The theme song from the movie “Rocky III” played in the background as she, her husband, and Mike Huckabee celebrated her freedom in front of cheering supporters.

The lawsuit is just one more problem for Davis, but a much bigger one for the former Arkansas governor in as far as his presidential campaign is concerneed. Huckabee is not only doing poorly in the polls but in campaign fundraising as well. This past quarter, he reported raising only $2 million, which could be instantly wiped out if the lawsuit against him and Davis succeeds.

So today, Huckabee and Davis turned to the Internet crowdfunding platform Kickstarter to help them raise the $1.2 million they would need if the judgment goes against them in the Survivor lawsuit.

On Tuesday, Huckabee said he was willing to go to jail in Davis’ place.

Maybe, he will. And for sure, Davis will gladly join him.

BREAKING: KIM DAVIS MAY BE BACK IN JAIL SOON!

HOLLYWOOD, Calfornia (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – She may just have been released from county jail, but Kim Davis, the Rowan County clerk who defied a Supreme Court ruling asking her to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, could end up back behind bars.

To celebrate her release after six hard days in prison, Davis held a press conference with Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. At the press conference, Davis cried and waved to the crowd, the crowd cheered and waved cardboard crosses, and the rock band Survivor tune ‘Eye of the Tiger’ played in the background, just like in the movie, ‘Rocky III.’

But the band said it didn’t give Davis permission to use the song. “NO! We did not grant Kim Davis any rights to use ‘My Tune -The Eye Of The Tiger,’” the song’s co-writer, Frank Sullivan said on the band’s Facebook page. “I would not grant her the rights to use Charmin! C’mom Mike, you are not The Donald but you can do better than that -See Ya really SoooooooonnnnnnN!!!!!!,” the post added.

And so the ‘Rocky’ saga continues for Davis, in court.

If convicted for unauthorized public performance of a copyrighted material, she could face a homecoming in county jail, perhaps, along with Huckabee.

REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE MIKE HUCKABEE FACES JAIL TIME FOR MOCKERY OF THE COURT

huck GRAYSON, Kentucky (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Standing beside Rowan County clerk Kim Davis today, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee accused the courts of “making a law out of thin air and punishing people for not obeying something that is not even a law.”

Huckabee’s statement came just minutes after Davis was released from county jail. She was imprisoned for contempt of court, refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

“If somebody needs to go to jail, I’m willing to go in [Kim Davis’] place,” Huckabee said.

Be careful what you wish for.

Huckabee now faces possible jail time for mocking the court system which he says is “criminalizing the Christian faith.”

There has been a precedent of jail time for mockery in the United States. An Ohio man, William Bailey, was sentenced in 2012 to one month in jail for mockery of a young girl with cerebral palsy in a bus stop.
