WHAT ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER WILL SAY TO THOSE WHO WILL BE FIRED IN ‘CELEBRITY APPRENTICE’

maxresdefaultNEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles®) – When Celebrity Apprentice returns to NBC for the 2016–17 television season, television audiences will no longer hear the once familiar phrase, “You’re Fired,” now that Donald Trump has been terminated from the show.

The new season will feature former California Governor and international movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger in the the role of CEO who will fire and eliminate contestants from the reality show.

Instead, NBC announced that contestants will be eliminated with Schwarzenegger saying, “You’re terminated!”

But writers and focus groups convened by NBC have a little bit of a problem with “You’re terminated!”

“It’s not catchy, not sexy at all,” they said in total agreement.

Although the phrase has a natural connection to the movie series that Schwarzenegger is closely identified with — “Terminator” — writers and focus group members felt the show needed something that would easily standout and be the new show’s memorable trademark.

Today, NBC announced that it has found the perfect phrase to replace, “You’re fired!”

That phrase is:

“Hasta la vista, baby!”

It is “You’re fired,” “You’re terminated,” “You’re out of here,” “See ya later,” all combined.  And it will appeal to all audiences, including  Spanish-speaking television viewers across the globe.

IN GERMANY, SCULPTURE GETS PARKING TICKET; IN THE U.S., ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER GETS A CITATION

Tale of two sculptures
Tale of two sculptures

HOLLYWOOD, California (The Adobo Chronicles ® ) – Law enforcement is a serious business in Germany and the United States. Even sculptures must follow the law.

In the German city of Karlsruhe, an overzealous officer slapped a sculpture with a parking ticket.  The sculpture of a bent red Mercedes-Benz food truck is that of Austrian artist Erwin Wurm who is famous for his humurous sculptural treatments of iconic vehicles that are stretched, inflated, and twisted into seemingly impossible shapes. It was cited for illegal parking.

Thousands of miles away, in the city of Hollywood, California, Arnold Schwarzenegger was issued a police citation inside the world-famous Madam Tussauds Wax Museum on Hollywood Boulevard.  The former California governor and star of the new movie, ‘Terminator Genisys,’ was cited for impersonating a wax sculpture.

Schwarzenegger posed as himself, pretending to be a wax sculpture, occasionally coming to life to the surprise of museum visitors.

As he was led out of the museum, Schwarzenegger told the crowd, “I will be back!”

MANNY PACQUIAO TO STAR IN STALLONE FILM ‘THE EXPENDABLES 4’

imageHollywood, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Now we know why Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenneger were at ringside during the boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri in Macau, China last week. The Hollywood actors wanted to recruit Pacquiao to star in the 4th installment of the film series, ‘The Expendables.’

The new film, ‘The Expendables 4’ starts production soon and will be filmed in the Philippines. It is a sequel to ‘The Expendables 3.’

‘The Expendables 3’  is a 2014 American ensemble action film directed by Patrick Hughes, and written by Creighton Rothenberger, Katrin Benedikt, and Sylvester Stallone. It is a sequel to the 2012 action film ‘The Expendables 2. ‘ The film features returning cast members Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Kelsey Grammer, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Glen Powell, Victor Ortiz, Robert Davi, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The story follows the mercenary group known as “The Expendables” as they come into conflict with ruthless arms dealer Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), the Expendables’ co-founder, who is determined to destroy the team.

In a report by Morrison Hennigan of The Movie Daily,  Manny Pacquiao will play the role of a “vicious rebel general” in the new film.

Deal Breaker

The entire negotiation between Stallone and Pacquiao happened in the locker room just after the fight. Pacquiao will be paid $40 Million for the film role, twice the amount he earned from his championship fight against Algieri.

But The Adobo Chronicles learned that the real deal breaker was Pacquiao’s demand for him to sing and record the theme song of the new movie. At first Stallone hesitated but then Schwarzenneger convinced him to agree to Pacquiao’s demand  and so the deal was signed.

Pacquiao is known for his passion in karaoke singing.
