APPLE’S iPHONE 6 : FROM BENDGATE TO HAIRGATE

imageCupertino, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Just as Apple’s embarrassing ‘bendgate’ issues were receding from hairlines, er, headlines, a newer – and more painful – problem has emerged regarding its new set of iPhone 6 smartphones: they’re pulling out people’s hair.

Many iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users have complained that their hair is getting caught in the shiny new devices when they make phone calls. When they end their calls and pull their phones away from their faces, their beard and head hairs are being pulled away with them.

This design flaw which many are calling ‘hairgate’ has put another dent on Apple’s new babies and may cost the company millions of dollars in lost revenue and potential lawsuits.

Rather than issue a recall of the new phones, Apple has sent a quick-fix email to all iPhone 6 and 6 Plus owners urging them to use anti-static shampoos or consider shaving their heads and beards.

The suggestion seems to be working just fine and complaints have been significantly reduced since that email from Apple.

TECH BILLIONAIRES BUYING ENTIRE ISLANDS IN HAWAII

Maui, Hawaii (The Adobo Chronicles) – The islands of Maui are slowly but surely falling into the hands of tech billionaires like Oracle’s Larry Ellison and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg.

Ellison, who recently stepped down as chairman of Oracle Corporatiom, had previously bought the entire island of Lāna’i and has started to build his dream retirement home in what he plans to rename Ellis Island of the Pacific.

Now, The Adobo Chronicles has confirmed that Zuckerberg has closed escrow on the island of Moloka’i. The 30-year old Facebook founder and CEO has no plans for retirement at the moment but he has already laid out elaborate plans to build a Facebook Fantasy Island that is sure to relegate Disneyland into a mere “small world.”

Zuckerberg’s plans were revealed just as he made headlines in San Francisco after his neighbors complained about the ongoing construction of his home in the city. It has been reported that Zuckerberg has bought four other properties surrounding his home and has spent the last year and a half developing his expanded residential compound. Neighbors have complained that they could not even park their cars in front of their homes because of road blocks and heavy equipment parked in the area.

With Ellison and Zuckerberg now owning the two islands in Maui, residents of nearby Kaua’ i have expressed concern that their garden island, too, will soon be owned by another tech billionaire.  Who could it be?

We’re guessing Apple’s Tim Cook. And we predict that he will rename Kauai the ‘Little Apple of the Pacific.’

APPLE RECALLS ALL iPHONE 6 AND 6 PLUS DUE TO MAJOR DESIGN FLAW

FullSizeRender (4)Cupertino, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – It is not uncommon for car manufacturers to recall specific models of their automobiles due to design flaws or for food manufacturers to recall items that may have been tainted with bacteria or other health hazards.  But tech companies recalling their products is practically unheard of. Until now. And it had to be the biggest and most successful company, Apple.

Just days after it launched its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple has issued a major recall of all of the new phones due to a major design flaw. Until yesterday, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been hailed as the best smart phones ever to hit the market.

Today, however, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the recall of all phones sold thus far and said that the company has halted the sale and shipping of the new products.

The reason?  A major design flaw in the packaging. Many customers have complained that when they first opened their iPhone box, the phone slipped out of the box and into the ground, causing the screen of the device to break or result in major dents to the phone. One such incident was even documented on live television when the first Australian to buy the iPhone 6 at an Apple store dropped the device as he opened the box to show his new phone to a television reporter.

The iPhone sits on top of the box, unsecured, resulting in excited customers to accidentally drop the device upon opening the box.

Cook said Apple is deeply embarrassed and promised that all customers who have purchased the new iPhones will get a replacement as soon as the design flaw is fixed. In addition, they will get a free Apple Watch when it comes out early next year.

In the meantime, the backorder and waiting period to get the new phones will be three months, just in time for the Christmas holiday.
