LONDON, United Kingdom (The Adobo Chronicles, London Bureau) – Adobo Chronicles’ senior geopolitics correspondent has been closely following both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, especially when both are in London.
Brian Neyra is now reporting that both ladies are sharing the same closet at the Buckingham Palace, as confirmed by these photos shot by our London-based AC photographer.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Despite the clamor from many Filipinos and international airlines for NAIA to revert to its original name, Manila International Airport (MIA), the Manila International Airport Authority decided against it. The decision is final.
However, the airport authority announced that only the acronym remains the same. What its stands for has been slightly changed to: Nora Aunor International Airport (NAIA).
The unanimous decision was arrived at to honor the Filipina superstar who has been named last year as one of the new National Artists.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – ‘Tis the season for resignations from Philippine political parties!
Vice President Sara Duterte has resigned as a member of Lakas-CMD, the political party under which she ran in 2022. She has issued a statement on her resignation, saying that the Filipino people’s trust in her to lead the country cannot be poisoned by “political toxicity” or undermined by “execrable political powerplay.”
Just minutes after Dueterte’s announcement, Atty. Leni Robredo who lost big to Bongbong Marcos for the presidential race that same year, said she was resigning from being Independent. (Robredo ran as an independent in the 2022 elections).
Sources close to Robredo told The Adobo Chronicles that she is now in negotiations with Lakas-CMD to be the party’s candidate for the 2028 presidential elections, in what is expected to be a two-way race between two women (the other, of course, being Duterte).
