Is Leni Robredo Really Skipping President Marcos’ State of the Nation Address?

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Ex-Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo has reportedly declined the invitation to attend President Bongbong Marcos’ second State of the Nation Address on July 24. Many empathize with her decision. It’s very difficult for her to move on from her embarrassing defeat in the 2022 presidential elections.

But is Robredo really skipping the SONA?

Marites reporters of GMA News, ABS-CBN and Rappler are being fielded to all possible entrances to the plenary hall of the Batasang Pambansa (National Legislature), venue of the SONA.

Unconfirmed reports say that Robredo is planning to sneak into the plenary hall just like she did year in and year out during her term as Representative of Camarines Sur.

Many will recall that Robredo always skipped the SONA Red Carpet and used back stairways of the Batasan to get to her seat at the plenary hall. So she knows the ins and outs of the building.

Will she really skip the SONA or try to sneak in?

We will await the reports from the news media.
