Ireland Shows Philippines The Way!

DUBLIN, Ireland (The Adobo Chronicles, Dublin Bureau) – The Philippines’ Department of Tourism has spent the last few weeks defending its P49 million re-branding of the country’s tourism campaign.

The slogan “Love The Philippines” was met with skepticism and criticism because of its unclear message and hard-to-decipher graphics, only to be exacerbated by a promo video that featured tourist destinations other than from the Philippines.

Today, Ireland sent Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco an autographed copy of its latest tourism poster — no logo, just a plain, simple and heartwarming message: “Fill your heart with Ireland.”

No reaction from Frasco as of press time.

Bb. Maharlika’s State of Mind

LOS ANGELES, California (The Adobo Chronicles, Los Angeles Bureau) – Netizens have always questioned Bb. Maharlika’s state of mind.

The Los Angeles-based vlogger (we can’t confirm if she’s a U.S. or dual citizen, green card holder or TNT) has been a vocal supporter of Bongbong Marcos during the 2022 presidential campaign. But the winds blew in a different direction when Marcos won the election and Maharlika wasn’t among the Cabinet or key Administration appointees. She then turned Marcos critic and focused her tirades against First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos.

Yesterday, Bb. Maharlika vlogged what she called the “State of Nothing Achieved” (SONA, which means State of the Nation Address).

The number of people who listened to her SONA is at best, pathetic, and her vlog all but confirmed that the state of Maharlika’s mind is unstable.

Facebook, Twitter Merger In The Offing?

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – First, Facebook changed its name and logo to Meta. Now, Twitter is rebranding itself as X! (Tweets will now be called X).

But these developments may not be the be all, end all when it comes the social media platforms.

Reliable sources tell The Adobo Chronicles that these rebranding and logo changes are a precursor to something bigger — the merger of these two social media giants.

The changes would eliminate the need to come up with a new logo for the merger. The two companies would simply put their logos side by side and voila! MetaX!
