Los Angeles, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – Queen of All Media Oprah Winfrey came out in support of Filipina singer Charice Pempengco when the latter reunited with the talk show host for an interview set to air October 19 on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
Winfrey once touted Charice as “the most talented girl in the world.” The 22-year-old former Glee star came out in the Philippines last year as a lesbian. The interview is her official ‘coming out’ on U.S. television.
During the interview, Winfrey, who is godmother to Charice, asked the Filipina singer if she “were thinking about transitioning to becoming a male.”
Charice was reportedly very nervous about doing the interview, but Winfrey calmed her down and said this was her “homecoming.”
So there you have it. Oprah and Charice both coming out on national television.

Miami, Florida (The Adobo Chronicles) – A televised debate between the candidates for Florida governor was almost called off Wednesday night because of a fan. A fan fan.
As the debate coverage went live, neither incumbent Governor Rick Scott (R) nor challenger and former Governor Charlie Crist showed up on stage. The moderating panel panicked.
Minutes later, Governor Crist took to the podium but the moderators announced that Governor Scott will not be participating in the debate because there was an electric fan underneath the podium designated for Crist.
Scott’s campaign insisted that per the agreed-upon debate rules, fans were not allowed on stage.
The Crist campaign, however, said that it was their understanding that what was prohibited were human fans or political followers of the candidates in the audience, and not electric fans on stage.
Scott eventually showed up and the debate went on as scheduled.
The debate will forever be known as fangate!
