Eleven more countries have been included in the U.S> Visa Waiver Program (VWP), a US government initiative that allows citizens of specific countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for up to 90 days without obtaining a visa.

The program aims to promote tourism, enhance international relations, and streamline travel procedures, making it easier for citizens of participating countries to visit the United States.

Here is the list, in alphabetical order:

  2. Poland
  3. Portugal
  4. San Marino
  5. Singapore
  6. Slovakia
  7. Slovenia
  8. South Korea
  9. Spain
  10. Sweden
  11. Switzerland

Rumors have it that while the Philippines didn’t make the cut, it was so close at No. 12, considering the new sites recently added to EDCA, the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement with the United States.

Before you even think of bashing or making fun of this pageant queen, you need to hear us out!

The are only two recognized major American beauty pageants where state contestants vie for the national title of Miss America, and the other for the opportunity to represent U.S.A. in the Miss Universe Pageant.

This queen was crowned as Alabama’s official representative to the National American Miss (NAM) pageant. It is a pageant unlike any other. The pageant’s goal is to grow confidence and teach real world skills to American girls and women. It is a program based on the ‘foundational principle of fostering positive self-image by enhancing natural beauty within.’

Manila, Pilipinas — Hindi pinalampas ng aktres at TV host na si Anne Curtis ang pahayag ng kolumnistang si Malou Tiquia tungkol sa kakulangan ng Pilipinas sa isang nation-wide siren warning system laban sa posibleng pag-atake ng Tsina o ibang banyagang mananakop. 

Sinabi ito ni Tiquia bilang pagsalungat sa polisiya ng administrasyong Bongbong Marcos ukol sa alitan sa South China Sea.

Ayon kay Curtis, isang malaking pambabastos ang ginawa ni Tiquia sa manunulat na si Mars Ravelo, ang lumikha ng karakter na si Dyesebel.

“Kung sirena lang ang usapan, kami nila Vilma Santos, Marian Rivera, Ara Mina, Charlene Gonzales, Alice Dixson, Alma Moreno at Edna Luna (sumalangit nawa) na gumanap bilang Dyesebel ang siyang magbibigay ng babala sa buong bansa gamit ang aming mga alindog at popularidad,” ani Curtis. 

Dagdag pa niya, “Bilang mga sirena, kami ang tunay na national warning system. Sino pa ba ang mas magaling magbigay ng babala kundi kami na mismong mga gumanap bilang Dyesebel?”
