DUTERTE ORDERS CONVERSION OF U.P. Diliman to a permanent evacuation center

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The “Iskolar ng Bayan,” (scholars of taxpayer money) at the University of the Philippines Diliman campus have announced that they will boycott their classes until President Rodrigo Duterte is ousted.

In response, Duterte said he will soon sign an Executive Order that will convert the entire U.P. Diliman campus into a permanent calamity evacuation center for Metro Manila to enable the government to better respond to natural disasters like the floods brought about by the recent typhoon, Ulysses.

In the draft E.O. obtained by The Adobo Chronicles, Duterte said that his administration will not allow the sprawling U.P. Diliman campus to go to waste because it was built and is being maintained by taxpayer money. He added that the savings from the “free tuition” for U.P. students will serve as standby funds that will be tapped for any future calamities.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – U.S. President Donald Trump has always considered President Rodrigo Duterte as his friend, often praising the latter for his “good work” on the war on drugs and extending an invitation to the Philippine leader to visit The White House.

But today, Trump told The Adobo Chronicles that he was withdrawing The White House invitation.

The reason?

Duterte was among the first of world leaders to extend their congratulations to Joe Biden for his election as the next President of the United States.

“I felt betrayed,” Trump tweeted, “I expected Duterte to stand by me till the very end. “He didn’t even give me the courtesy of waiting until I have prosecuted all my legal challenges to the fraudulent elections,” he added.
