DONALD TRUMP DUMPS FOX NEWS TO CNN’S DELIGHT

CaptureNEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles®) – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is done with FOX News, and CNN couldn’t be happier.

Trump has reignited his war of words with FOX, vowing on his Twitter account that he will stay off the network for the “foreseeable future.”

Trump declared in a tweet Wednesday morning that he believes he has been treated “very unfairly” by FOX, leading him to decide to dump the network.

Earlier, FOX decided to pull Trump’s appearance on “O’Reilly Factor”  after the Republican presidential frontrunner criticized O’Reilly and Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly in tweets sent on Monday and Tuesday.

CNN, the heir apparent to FOX News, celebrated Trump’s tweet by popping champagne bottles in the newsroom.

“This means I can have more news segments with Trump and more intelligent discussions on important issues in the political campaign,” CNN anchor Don Lemon said.

CNN’S ratings have been in decline for the last few months and the cable network is hoping that more appearances by Trump would help boost its viewership.

BANGKOK, Thailand (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Authorities have tripled to $85,000 a reward for information leading to the arrest of the main suspect in the Erawan shrine bombing that killed 20 people at one of Bangkok’s top tourist attractions.

The increased reward was announced after investigators said that very little progress was being made in locating an unidentified young man dressed in yellow shirt leaving a backpack at the scene of the carnage Monday night.

Apparently, investigators were following an erroneous lead from a very prestigious American daily newspaper, the San Jose Mercury News, which claimed through its August 19 headline that the suspect was hiding somewhere in Taiwan.

Taiwan is about 1,500 miles from Bangkok.

CNN VERY DISAPPOINTED THERE WAS NO VIOLENCE WHEN ‘STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON’ OPENED IN MOVIE THEATERS

CaptureATLANTA, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – CNN was in full standby mode last weekend, with camera crews and news anchors ready to hit the airwaves at the first sign of violence  on opening night of the movie, “Straight Outta Compton.”

The film tells the story of the group N.W.A., a group from Compton, California that was highly influential in the early days of hip-hop, and included several members that are still famous today, including Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, who also produced the film.

It turned out to be a huge disappointment for CNN as it reported on Monday that there wasn’t violence at movie theaters during the opening weekend of the film.

CNN anchor Ashleigh Banfield  began the news segment by saying, “Some movie theaters were worried about violence when Straight Outta Compton hit the screen. Instead, it only led to longer lines, ticket lines and some big money, too.”

The film earned $56.1 million on opening weekend, a record for an R-rated film.

Banfield then brought on CNN law enforcement analyst Cedric Alexander to discuss the reaction to the film and to try to make sense of the non-violence that  greeted the film’s opening weekend.

All week last week, CNN was reporting that movie theaters were employing extra security while local police were being deployed to quell any riots that might ensue as a result of the film.

The uneventful weekend was another missed opportunity for CNN to do what it does best: sensationalized reporting and news analysis.
