apl.de.ap Shows What Filipinos Are Made Of

NEW CLARK CITY, PHILIPPINES (The Adobo Chronicles, ) – A few Filipinos, mostly associated with the political opposition and yellow cult have been very critical of the Phiippines’ hosting of the 30th South East Asian (SEA) Games this year.

Many have questioned their loyalty and patriotism for choosing to bring up only the negatives about the country’s efforts to put up a good show.

But one Filipino, apl.de.ap of the popular American rap group Black Eyed Peas, is taking the high road.  He makes no secret of his extreme pride  for his Filipinoness and 100% support for the Phiippines’ hosting of the 2019 SEA Games.

Standing before a giant replica of the Game’s logo, the artist proclaimed, “Let’s show them what we’re made of.”

Adding, “We’re definitely not Yellows.”

(And in case you haven’t noticed, there is no yellow color on the logo.)

Point well taken.

For Singapore Athletes, It Pays To Complain About Their Food

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicls, Manila Bureau) – Insufficient food for athletes and administrative hiccups led the chef de mission of the Singapore contingent at the SEA Games in the Philippines to write to organisers on Sunday seeking “urgent and immediate attention,” according to news media reports.

Well, it pays to complain.

Today, the Philippine organizing committee has instructed all hotels hosting foreign athletes to serve boodle fights to the athletes, three times a day.

”There should no longer be any shortage of food not just for the Singaporeans but all visiting teams participating in the games,” a committee spokesperson said.

After all, SEA Games 2019 will be a memorable and mouth-watering experience for everybody — athletes and officials.

We win as one!

SEA Games Opening Ceremonies: Vice Ganda To Stand In For Lea Salonga

NEW CLARK CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – When Lea Salonga sings the SEA Games theme song, “We Win As One,” at the Opening Ceremonies, something will be missing: Lea.

The internationally-known Filipina singer tweeted that she is leaving on a jet plane for Singapore to fulfill a prior engagement.

But no worries, nationally-known personality Vice Ganda will lip sync to Lea’s recording of the song.

All’s well that ends well.
