MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Yesterday, the online Philippines news site, Rappler, published a story on efforts to clamp down on misinformation and “fake news” on the Internet.
Rappler reported that social media giants Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter have joined forces with some of the biggest media groups in the world in the First Draft partner network, a collaboration hoping to tackle the Internet’s biggest problem: the unabated spread of misinformation.
Filipino netiziens immediately took to their social media accounts to comment on the Rappler story.
Many netizens commented: “Goodbye, Rappler!”

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Will Smith’s son Jaden has committed suicide. Jackie Chan was killed while filming a death-defying stunt. Golden girl Rue McClanahan has passed. Again.
