An Open Letter To All Candidates Running For Public Office In 2025

To all candidates running for office in 2025:

We need you to run on a platform, not on a pedestal. The era when celebrity status or political lineage could guarantee a seat in public office is fading. Voters today are more informed, more discerning, and more focused on substance over spectacle.

Being in showbiz or coming from a political dynasty won’t be enough to win over intelligent voters who demand real change. Public office is not a fan club, and leadership is not about popularity. It’s about presenting clear, actionable plans that address the real issues we face—poverty, education, healthcare, and governance.

We expect you to engage with the public, not as idols, but as individuals genuinely committed to service. The country deserves leaders with vision, integrity, and the will to act — not just the will to win.

We hope you’re ready to step up to that challenge.

Sincerely,

Concerned Citizens

Fact Check: Jay Sonza’s P1M Lies (video)

In yet another dazzling display of creative fiction, former journalist-turned-professional troll Jay Sonza took to social media to announce that all criminal charges against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy in the U.S. have magically vanished. Clearly, Sonza is now moonlighting as a master illusionist, conjuring stories from thin air for his boss, the head of the disenfranchised SMNI News Network.

According to Sonza’s latest tall tale, the U.S. courts have graciously decided to drop everything against Quiboloy. Unfortunately for Sonza’s P1M-per-lie gig, reality disagrees.

In fact, Marissa Duenas, an HR manager from Quiboloy’s KOJC, did plead guilty for violating US marriage laws in a deal for a reduced sentence. But Quiboloy? Still very much on the FBI’s Most Wanted List, his charges remain untouched.

It seems Sonza’s reporting has evolved into an entirely new genre—fiction—where facts are optional, and the truth is whatever keeps the paycheck coming.
