Caught On Camera: During Leni Robredo’s Campaign Speech, Sharon Cuneta Was Selling Rolex Watches!

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Bacolod City Bureau) – Be careful what you do on stage during a campaign rally. The cameras are watching! Megastar Sharon Cuneta, wife of vice presidential candidate Kiko Pangilinan learned her lesson last night, and she learned it well.

While Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo was delivering her scripted campaign speech at a rally in Bacolod City, Cuneta was seen offering Rolex watches for sale!

Cuneta is known for boasting about her Rolex watch collection in previous posts on her social media account.

Earlier during the rally, Cuneta took to the microphone and laughed about the NPA, Abu Sayyaf and terrorists.

The Adobo Chronicles asked both Robredo and Pangilinan for their comment. They simply ignored our query.

Smartmatic Denies Running 7-Eleven Cash Registers!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Smartmatic, the firm that has a contract with the Philippine Commission on Elections (Comelec) to electronically manage vote tallies in the May 9 national elections, has denied having anything to do with cash registers at 7-Eleven stores in the country.

The denial came just hours after netizens have complained being cheated out of their choice for Bongbong Marcos for president.

7-Eleven stores have launched ”SpeakCup” whereby customers purchasing sodas or coffee can choose the cup bearing the name and image of their preferred presidential candidates.

It is a poll of sorts where the stores will tally how many cups of each of the presidential candidates have been chosen by customers.

Already, netizens have taken to their social media accounts to complain and post photos of their 7-Eleven receipts indicating they have chosen a Leni Robredo cup even if they have actually picked up a Bongbong Marcos cup.

Smartmatic has been involved in controversies in the last presidential elections where it has been alleged that its computers and systems have been designed to favor one candidate over another.

The Adobo Chronicles tried to reach 7-Eleven Philippines CEO Jose Victor Paterno, but we ran out of data on our mobile phones.

Jun Polistico Thanks Sal Panelo For Singing His Song!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – While singer/actress Sharon Cuneta took to her social media account to protest Sal Panelo’s sining of ”Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas,” Jun Polistico is thanking the senatorial candidate.

Cuneta, the wife of vice presidential aspirant Senator Kiko Pangilinan protested Panelo’s rendition of ”her song” during a campaign event.

Truth be told, the hit song composed by the late Willy Cruz is NOT Cuneta’s song. It was first recorded and released by Viva Records in 1980. Cuneta later covered the song in 1986 as part of a film project.

The Adobo Chronicles asked Polistico for his reaction to Cuneta’s reaction. He said he is very thankful to Panelo for reviving the song and is hoping that his original recording will resurface as No. 1 again in the music charts.

All’s well that ends well!

Here’e Polistico’s original version:
