Jover Laurio Chides Raissa Robles For Twitter Comment

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Not all Pinklawan are nice to each other. They too are human and can easily get offended.

Case in point: In a tweet, self-proclaimed investigative writer and failed book author Raissa Robles insinuated that the new Commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) was appointed because he is the wedding godson of President Bongbong Marcos.

Pinoy Ako Blog’s Jover Laurio didn’t take that comment lightly and chided her look-alike for politicizing wedding godparenting.

You see, one of Laurio’s godparents at her wedding was then Vice President Leni Robredo.

Laurio said that just because Marcos is the BIR chief’s godfather doesn’t mean it had something to do with his appointment.

She added:

“Leni was my wedding godmother but she had nothing to do with my separation from my husband.”

So true.

US Television Networks Do A “Yin and Yang,” Fire Their Top Anchors!

ATLANTA, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles, Atlanta Bureau) – The rival U.S. television networks, CNN and Fox News did a “Yin and Yang” move on the same day by firing their top anchors.

CNN announced the firing of Don Lemon while Fox News let go of Carson Tucker.

The “Yin and Yang” we refer to had nothing to do with black and white. Rather, opposite political leanings.

CNN is known to be leaning liberal while Fox, conservative.

This “balancing act” sent shockwaves to the broadcast industry here and abroad.

Inquirer Confirms: Leni Robredo Is A Contemporary Of Juan Ponce Enrile!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Philippine Daily Inquirer, one of Manila’s leading newspapers, is reporting that Atty. Leni Robredo who in 2022 ran unsuccessfully for president against Bongbong Marcos, is actually a contemporary of former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, now 99 years old.

In its “Today in History” post on April 23, 2023, Inquirer paid tribute to the Robredo on her alleged 58th birthday. The post all but confirms that in 1965 she was born as a former Vice President which means that she was then at least 40 years old — the required age for anyone running for the second highest position in the country. That makes her at least 98, two years short of being a centenarian.

Either Robredo lied about her age on her certificate of candidacy, or Dr. Vicky Belo did an amazing plastic surgery job on her. Whichever, Robredo would have been the oldest elected head of state if she had won over Marcos.
