MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – During that now infamous live interview by BBC’s Stephen Sackur with Antonio Trillanes, the Philippine senator was ridiculed by the talk show host for staging several coups that only lasted a day or so.
Leave it to Trillanes’ ego to stage a comeback.
Reliable sources have told The Adobo Chronicles that Trillanes is plotting yet another coup — this time it will be for a full 48 hours — just to prove that BBC and Sackur were wrong in maligning his military and political career and that he was only good for 24 hours.
As for his claim during the interview that the Filipinos’ drug of choice was marijuana, not shabu (crystal meth), Trillanes said that he will apply for a patent that would rename shabu to marijuana.
No one can mess with Trillanes. Not even the BBC!
