MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Once again, Rappler proved to be the purveyor of “fake news.”
When Sharon Cuneta, wife of Senator Kiko Pangilinan, left for the United States, Rappler reported that the Filipino actress was going there “to collect herself.”
But alas, now that Cuneta is back, she herself revealed that Rappler’s news report was fake.
As a matter of fact, the actress went there to “correct herself.”
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Olympic fever continues to grip the Philippines with Filipino athletes winning medals — gold, silver and bronze — in the Tokyo competitions.
The medal haul is also evident in the country’s news business as Publicus Asia released its latest survey on the most-trusted news outlets in the country.
As can be seen the poll results, Rappler won gold, while ABS-CBN won silver in the “no trust” category.
