SAN BERNARDINO, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – When we think of “terrorists,” we think of men or women armed with guns indiscriminately shooting at innocent people.  But CNN and MSNBC displayed — on live television — a new kind of terrorism, shooting their cameras at the items that remained in the apartment of suspected San Bernardino shooting gunmen Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik.

The journalists sifted through children’s toys, household items and identification cards not just of the deceased suspects but of possible innocent individuals.

There were conflicting reports on whether or not the apartment landlord or the FBI allowed the reporters into the apartment. It is assumed that the apartment remained a crime scene at the time of the media terrorist attack.

It wasn’t clear whether the perpetrators were radicalized journalists or were simply clueless of journalistic principles and ethics..

DAVAO CITY, Philippines—Mob bosses, drug lords and illegal gambling kingpins are going all out to derail the presidential candidacy of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Dueterte, according to the mayor’s VP running mate, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.

Cayetano said it is not only Duterte’s political rivals that are worried about the mayor’s candidacy, but also  people whose interests would be hurt if he were victorious because of his tough stance against crime and corruption. Duterte is known for his iron-fist and extra judicial style of management as mayor of Davao City.

“When one is a clear leader, there is always the likelihood of being ganged-up (on). Apart from political opponents, no crime lords or drug lords would want him to win and hamper their illegal business,” Cayetano said.

According to Cayetano, Duterte’s popularity being evident, the challenge for the candidate and his supporters now is to “safgeguard the legal process.”

Apparently, Cayetano’s definition of “legal process” includes  taking the law into one’s own hand, as Duterte is known to do.

KENTUCKY TO REQUIRE VALID PASSPORT WHEN APPLYING FOR MARRIAGE LICENSE

Don't leave home without it...
Don’t leave home without it…

ROWAN COUNTY, Kentucky (The Adobo Chronicles) – Beginning in 2016, a valid U.S. passport may be a required as the only acceptable identification document when traveling on domestic flights while the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) may be given the power to request a non-issuance, or cancellation, of a passport for individuals owing taxes.

Encouraged by this new development, the state of Kentucky — yes the same state where a Rowan County clerk refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples — is proposing new regulations regarding the issuance of marriage licenses, gay or straight.

The new rules, reportedly the brainchild of county clerk Kim Davis and widely supported by state Republican lawmakers, will require marriage license applicants to show proof of U.S. citizenship through a valid U.S. passport.

So, if you’re planning to get married in Kentucky, it is wise to start securing your U.S. passport or passport card if you don’t already have one, or if you do, to make sure it is unexpired.

The Adobo Chronicles contacted all of the Republican candidates for president and all have expressed full support for the measure.  That means it may become the law not just in Kentucky, but in the entire U.S. of A!
