BREAKING: JBC Seeks To Disbar Vice President Leni Robredo

9729A2F5-E02E-4E1E-8687-52EC108B66ABMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Leni Robredo flunked her first try at the bar exams.  Now she’s at risk of being disbarred.

The Judicial Bar Council (JBC) is seeking to disbar the Vice President for violation of her lawyer’s oath.

”By continuing to go against the decision of the duly-constituted Supreme Court in ousting Maria Lourdes Sereno from her post as Chief Justice, Atty. Robredo is all but going against her oath to abide by the law.  She therefore has no business being in the law profession” a spokesperson for JBC told The Adobo Chronicles.DB992C84-5539-4E27-A060-8071B0204DE4.jpeg

The High Court recently affirmed its 8-6 decision ousting Sereno with a similar 8-6 vote on the latter’s Motion for Reconsideration.

JBC added that Robredo’s actions is tantamount to contempt of court.

Filipino Lesbians To Stage Rally In Front Of Malacañang To Protest Crackdown On Loitering

CEE7318F-86E6-416A-B6D8-7EC1FF6397DFMANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – A large group of Filipino lesbians is set to stage a rally in front of Malacañang Palace this weekend to protest the Duterte Administration’s crackdown on street loitering.

The group decided on this mass protest after hearing of increasing police action against tambays (loiterers).

Apparently it was case of ‘lost in translation.’

The lesbians heard it wrong.  They thought it was a government crackdown on ‘tomboys,’ a widely-used term to refer to lesbians.

Ousted Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno Wants To Move On

3A739F04-ACC1-4659-894C-0BE71DDE0A97MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Now that the Supreme Court has denied her Motion for Reconsideration in connection with her ouster as Chief Justice, Maria Lourdes Sereno told The Adobo Chronicles that she now wants to move on.

”With the grace of the Almighty and with the moral support of the Filipino people, I’d like to put everything behind me now,” Sereno said.

Sereno also said that in order to fix her tarnished image, she plans to legally change her name to Vox Popoli.

The idea for  the new name came up after her BBC interview with Stephen Sackur of ‘Hardtalk’ during which she indicated that rather than enter into politics, she would like to be the ‘voice of the people.’

The Adobo Chronicles just noticed that her initials as Vox Popoli would be VP.  Is she gearing herself up to run for Vice President?
