MCDONALD’S IS THE CULPRIT IN CHEESE SHORTAGE

imageNorthfield, Illinois – Just a day after it announced a shortage of its cheese products, Kraft Foods accused fastfood giant McDonald’s of hoarding tons and tons of the popular cheese brand Velveeta.

In its earlier announcement, Kraft said it did not know what was causing the Velveeta shortage, only going as far as to say that a noticeable decline in its product supply happens every now and then. Analysts surmised that the shortage may have something to do with the NFL season where football fans consume an unusual amount of cheese and cheese products.

However, a Kraft external investigation confirmed that McDonald’s has been stocking crates and crates of Velveeta cheese in just the last several weeks.

In an exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles, a top executive of the hamburger chain admitted that indeed, McDonald’s has been holding on to a huge inventory of Velveeta cheese.  The reason? “We are about to launch a new McDonald’s menu item — Mc N Cheese,” the spokesperson said.

SARAH PALIN THINKS ‘POLAR VORTEX’ IS AN ARCTIC ANIMAL

imageAnchorage, Alaska – Everybody is talking about “polar vortex,’ the weather phonomenon that has brought extreme frigid temperatures in the mid and eastern sections of the United States. So is Sarah Palin.

In a townhall meeting aimed at debunking claims of global warming, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate said that the record winter weather currently being experienced by many Americans is proof that  “the globe is not getting warmer as claimed by leftist environmentalists.” “As a matter of fact, the globe is becoming colder,” she added.

When asked by an audience member what she thinks of the polar vortex, Palin said that environmentalists and citizens alike should do all they can to protect this endangered arctic animal.

Apparently, Palin thought that polar vortex is one of the  animals found in Alaska, Canada and other places in the arctic region like the polar bear, muskox, caribou and arctic fox.

EDWARD SNOWDEN IS U.S. FLAG BEARER AT 2014 WINTER OLYMPICS

flagbearerSochi, Russia – The 2014 Winter Olympics is just weeks away, and this spectacle to be hosted by Russia is gaining all the publicity plus a lot of controversy. Among other things, there have been numerous attempts to organize a boycott of the Sochi Olympics because of laws enacted by the government of Vladimir Putin criminalizing the public display of homosexuality within Russia.  And just last month, the White House announced that  the  official U.S. delegation won’t include a member of President Barack Obama’s family or an active cabinet secretary, but it will include openly gay athletes  including Billie Jean King, the tennis legend; and figure skater Brian Boitano.

Today, in a statement that stunned the sports and political world circles, the U.S. National Olympic Committee (USNOC) said that it has chosen the U.S. flag bearer for the February 7 Opening Ceremonies. It will be none other than Edward Snowden, the American accused of espionage in connection with leaks of top-secret information from the National Security Agency. Snowden is now living in Moscow and has been granted political asylum by the Putin government – another stickler in the hot and cold diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Russia.

In justifying its selection, the Olympic Committee said that regardless of the charges against him, Snowden represents the true spirit of strength, courage and perseverance which are among the prime ideals of Olympic sports.  The Committee also admitted that using a controversial and recognizable figure like Snowden would generate a lot of buzz and would add to the popularity of the U.S. Olympic team. It is also part of the USNOC’s continuing strategy at cost savings. “Since Snowden is already in Russia,” we won’t have to pay for any travel expenses,” a USNOC spokesperson said.
