LONDON, United Kingdom (The Adobo Chronicles, Berlin Bureau) – How can we forget that infamous interview with Philippine Senator Antonio Trillanes by Stephen Sackur on the latter’s ‘Hardtalk’ program on BBC?
Trillanes was asked if was a Democrat, and he answered, “I’m Nacionalista.”
Well, Sackur reprised this question, this time during his interview with ousted Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno. Here’s an excerpt:
Sackur: Madam Sereno, do you consider yourself a Democrat?
Sereno: I’m a Christian
Sackur: Let me repeat my question: are you a Democrat?
Sereno: Hashtag Babae Ako (#BabaeAko)
(At this point, the program cut into a commercial.)
