Jollibee’s Real Identity Finally Revealed!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – For the longest time, Filipinos and foreigners have wondered who is the man behind the popular Jollibee fast food chain. He has always gone with just his first name.

Thanks to the National ID program of the Philippine government, Jollibee applied and received (after almost two years) his official identification document.

An overzealous employee at the Philippine Statistics Authority leaked Jollibee’s surname and middle initial to the media. Now, Jollibee has no choice but go public.

His full name: Jollibee D. Tuazon.

Unprecedented: South Korean House Speaker To Deliver Philippines’ State Of The Nation Address (SONA)

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – The Philippines will make a Guinness World Record on July 24, 2023, as the first and only nation in the world to invite a foreign dignitary to deliver the State of the Nation Address (SONA), usually done by the country’s president.

South Korean National Assembly Speaker Rep. Kim Jin-pyo will do the honors on behalf of President Bongbong Marcos who will be watching the address from Malacañang.

Already, banners welcoming the South Korean dignitary as SONA speaker have been put up in various locations in Metro Manila, including this one at a footbridge near the Batasang Pambansa, venue of the SONA.

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – First Amendment Rights violations in America is a big issue. But what are the costs involved in ensuring free speech?

New York City is preparing to pay a total of $13.7 million to 1.4 million New Yorkers who were arrested and/or subjected to force by police and had their First Amendment Rights violated in 2020.

That’s a whole lot of money!

But wait! How much will each of the 1.4 million people receive as compensation?

Nine Dollars and Seventy Nine Cents. $9.78, less tax!

After all, the cost of defending free speech is cheap.
