What’s The Citizenship Status Of Maharlika And Sass Rogando Sasot?

In the latest installment of the melodrama “Sour Grapes: The Vloggers’ Saga,” Maharlika, Sass Rogando Sasot, and their cohort of foreign-based social media maestros are up in arms over their exclusion from positions in the Marcos administration. But before we entertain their wails of injustice, let’s play a riveting game of citizenship roulette.

Are they card-carrying patriots of the Philippines, or did they trade their love for the motherland for a slice of foreign convenience?

In the land of “resibo,” where receipts reign supreme, let’s demand proof of their allegiance. Are they waving the flag or just dabbling in diplomacy for the ‘gram? Naturalized citizens in faraway lands, they tread a precarious tightrope of eligibility, teetering between loyalty and expediency. Dual citizenship might be a tantalizing prospect, but the fine print demands sacrifices – like renouncing foreign ties for a shot at Philippine power plays.

So, dear vloggers, before you raise your digital pitchforks, let’s settle the citizenship charade. Otherwise, your complaints might ring as hollow as your claims to the throne. Or, it could be an indication of your illegal/TNT status in your choice of foreign residence.

Bea Alonzo Shows The Way For Those Who Promised To Leave PH If Marcos Were Elected President

Ah, the melodrama of Philippine politics! It’s truly heartwarming to witness the countless folks who swore to pack their bags and jet off to faraway lands if Bongbong Marcos were to claim the presidential throne.

But as election results came in, the great exodus remained more of a theatrical threat than a reality.

While most armchair revolutionaries conveniently forgot their pledges and clung to their cozy lifestyles, there stands the shining beacon of integrity – none other than thespian extraordinaire Bea Alonzo.

In a masterclass of political commitment, she didn’t just pay lip service to her all-out support for defeated candidate Leni Robredo but took action, relocating to Spain and establishing herself as a bona fide expat.

Kudos to Bea for proving that some folks in the Philippines can keep their word, even if it means bidding adieu to the archipelago’s political circus.

Best of luck in your new adventure, Bea, and may your conviction continue to shine brightly in the land of flamenco and paella!

Former Comelec Chief Andy Bautista Sought Refuge In America Only To Be Sued By U.S. Government!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – He sought refuge in America to escape charges (and a Philippine Senate subpoena) of unexplained wealth only to find himself being sued by the U.S. Government.

The United States government has sued former Philippine elections chief Andres Bautista for money laundering and conspiracy after his estranged wife, Patricia Paz Bautista, flagged his alleged ill-gotten wealth worth P1 billion ($17.57 million).

Bautista’s alleged anomalous dealings were related to the Philippines’ presidential elections in 2016.

The Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) filed the case against Bautista at the US District Court in the Southern District of Florida on Tuesday, September 19.

Will Bautista now voluntarily return to the Philippines to escape the U.S. lawsuit? Or will the Department of Homeland Security which oversees U.S. immigration deport him back?

Bautista’s honeymoon with the land of the free may soon come to an end.
