REAL-LIFE BATMAN KILLED IN MARYLAND ACCIDENT

Capture ANNAPOLIS, Maryland (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – As children, we were told that Superheroes never die, but now we know it’s a total myth.

Lenny B. Robinson, 51, who visited children in hospitals dressed as Batman and entered the public spotlight after police pulled him over in costume, died Sunday after a car hit his custom Batmobile on a Maryland interstate.

His custom Lamborghini broke down while he was driving east on I-70 in the fast lane. He got out to check the engine while still in the lane, and a Toyota Camry struck his car, which in turn hit him.

In the world of Marvel, Superman could have come to Batman’s rescue and pull him up and away from impending death.

But this is the real world.

Yet, truth be told that in the real world, there are real heroes, and Robinson was among them.

IF SHE BECOMES PHILIPPINE FIRST LADY, KORINA SANCHEZ WANTS IMELDA MARCOS’ SHOES REPLACED BY HER FLIP FLOPS

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Everybody knows about former Philippine First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos’ collection of over 3,000 pairs of shoes. They are now displayed in a national museum in Marikina, a Metro Manila town known for its world-class shoe manufacturing industry.

Korina Sanchez is a broadcast journalist who has her own collection of — not shoes — but flip flops.

Sanchez, of course is the wife of Interior and Local Governments Secretary Mar Roxas, who is running for president in 2016 as President Aquino’s anointed successor.

In an interview with CNN Philippines today, Sanchez was asked about what she envisions her role would be as First Lady if Roxas gets elected.

“The first thing I would do is to replace all of Imelda’s shoes displayed at the Shoe Museum with my colorful collection of tsinelas (flip flops).”

“I think the tsinelas would be better representative of the true culture of the Filipino people” Sanchez said.

CNN CONFIRMS: CECIL’S BROTHER JERICHO IS ALSO A LION

ATLANTA, Georgia (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Amid conflicting reports that Zimbabwean lion Cecil’s brother was either killed or is still alive, CNN has confirmed that Jericho was indeed killed.

In a news flash aired on Don Lemon’s show tonight, CNN announced that Jericho, Cecil’s brother, “who is also a lion,” was killed in yet another unfortunate hunting incident.

The Adobo Chronicles® appreciates CNN for confirming the news about Jericho’s mortal life, and that he was indeed a lion just like his brother Cecil.
